Skopik provided an all-in-one Smart Home solution for this Ponsonby home where pre-wiring, hardware installation and future-proofing was key. Our client had requested a simple-to-use, yet comprehensive system including Audio-Visual, CCTV, Access Control, Security and Wireless.

Working in collaboration with our client, Skopik designed and implemented a complete Smart Home solution that took into account the current home setup, as well as allowing flexibility for future AV requirements. A 2-stage approach was conceived during the planning process of the project. Stage 1 was focused on pre-wiring existing and yet to be installed systems for IT, AV and Security. Stage 2 focused on the hardware installation. This 2-stage approach resulted in a comprehensive solution that allows our client to control all aspects of their home via one of the in-wall touchscreens, or mobile devices while out and about.

New technologies and artificial intelligence may soon be making their way to your own home. These upgrades are not just for the rich, but for anyone who wants them.

Works Completed:

STAGE ONE: Pre-wire

  • Running all Cat6, RG6 and Cat6A cables for security, data, access control and CCTV throughout the basement and first floor
  • Coiling cables at required locations, ready for future hardware installation
  • Relocating and re-route existing cables for sirens, cameras, touchscreens and keypads, as and where required
  • Pre-wire new smoke detector
  • Site inspections with client and designer to make changes as required

 

STAGE TWO: Hardware Installation

  • Supply, install and commission of full smart-home solution including:
      – Network
      – MATV
      – Rack & Accessories
      – Audio Visual/Automation
      – CCTV
      – Access Control
      – Security
  • Installation and setup of WiFi
  • Supply, installation and calibration of Hikvision CCTV Network Cameras
  • Supply, installation and commissioning of Security Panel and Hardware
  • Supply and installation of AV Hardware including Control4 & distribution equipment, Apple TV, Touchscreens and
    Network Hardware
  • Build and installation of the Middleatlantic Rack
  • Installation and programming of TVs and Soundbars
  • Installation of Alarm Hub
  • Installation and configuration of Wireless Access Points
  • Configuration of all Network Hardware
  • Installation of Touchscreens and Door Stations
  • Set up of Control4 app on client’s phones/iPad
  • System training with client including supplying user manuals

Entain NZ – The Fulltime Sports Bar & Eatery

The state of the art audio visual system is what sets this venue apart from the rest. The sports bar features a total of 11 screens, including a 15m x 1.2m curved LED screen above the bar, a 3.5m x 2.4m LED main viewing wall, a 5.2m x 1.8m dedicated LED racing wall and a 2m x 1.6m video wall and two 85-inch and five 65-inch televisions.

Southern Cross Hospitals

As they are the home to millions of dollars of surgical equipment and drug and treatment rooms throughout each location, this puts equipment and product accountability high on their priority list. Therefore, Southern Cross looked to a company that could not only supply Access Control and CCTV systems, but scope and design a complete integrated system linking every hospital in the country together including with their Head Office in Auckland.

When a large Interior company was asked by Remuera Gardens Retirement Village to build a 45-person Cinema, their first call was to SKOPIK for the design and build. SKOPIK looked after everything from sourcing and supplying the theatre seats and fabric types / colours through to the integration of the emergency LED floor lighting with the Electrical company.
