Darren Hogg
Director

With 25+ years’ experience in the Communications, Audio-Visual, Home Automation and Security industries, Darren has expertise in a wide range of Services and Solutions and vast experience in Management, Consulting and Design, Installation and Operations.

At Skopik, Darren is the sole Director with a very hands-on approach to management, he adds value and is involved in all facets of the business.

Darren is also a Key Account Manager for some of our legacy, national and international customers, managing projects and rollouts within New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Australia and the Pacific Islands.

Darren is passionate about our customers and is determined that every customer is happy with the service and solution provided.

Gavin Hamlin
Chief Executive Officer

With 30+ years’ experience in the Communications Industry, Gavin has expertise and extensive background in Contract/Project Management, Key Account/Sales Management, Business Development, Partner/Vendor Management, Tender/Bid Management and the Design & Build of many large Fibre/Copper Infrastructure Solutions.

At Skopik, Gavin manages our team of Key Account Managers and is responsible for our customer engagement and customer management activity.

Gavin is also our subject matter expert in Telecommunications/Telco Services, Datacentre Solutions and Fibre Optic Infrastructure. He prides himself on keeping up with technology in an ever-evolving technical industry.

Gavin is our Key Account Manager for some of NZ’s leading service providers within the Telecommunications and Fibre Optic Infrastructure industries.

Gavin is passionate about adding technical and professional value to customers, and ensuring positive customer outcomes.

Jan Hansen
Chief Financial Officer

With 25+ years’ experience working in Finance and General Management, Jan has strengths in thought leadership, process creation/implementation, and internal systems evolution and improvement.

Jan has been a part of the Skopik team for the past 10+ years.  Her primary role is to oversee all financial aspects of the business both internally and externally, as well as the HR and payroll functions.

Jan is passionate about supporting the business to ensure ongoing and continued investment and growth to help the business deliver the most industry leading solutions for our customers and to provide a safe, positive and enjoyable daily experience for our primary assets (our people).

Justin Powell
Business Development

With 25+ years’ experience in the Communications, Commercial Audio-Visual and Home Automation industries, the majority of those at Skopik, Justin has expertise and background in Technical Installation, Project Management, Operations Management, Sales Management and Business Development.

At Skopik, Justin’s primary role is National Business Development Manager and is responsible for identifying all industry/service trends, promoting all the services we offer, and staying in touch with all technology and automation solutions.

Justin is our subject matter expert for Home Automation, Commercial and Residential Audio-Visual, Security/CCTV and Communications Cabling. Due to Justin’s vast range of technical knowledge across many services, he also plays a large part in our vendor product/solution identification and management.

Justin is also a Key Account Manager for some of our larger national Residential Automation and Retail Automation customers.

Justin is passionate about positive customer outcomes, and providing industry leading solutions that are fit for purpose.

Jeffrey Sundrum
Key Account Manager - Audio-Visual

With 15+ years’ experience in the Audio-Visual industry Jeff has expertise as an Installation Technician, Site/Project Manager, Design Consultant and Account Manager.

At Skopik, Jeff’s primary role is a Key Account Manager – AV Solution Specialist and is responsible for all our Audio-Visual Design and Build Solutions.

Jeff is our subject matter expert for Commercial AV (Meeting Room, Board Room, Huddle Space type solutions), Wireless Solutions, High End Residential Solutions, Retail Sound and Visual Systems.

Jeff has been an integral part of the successful development of our Audio-Visual offering. His in-depth product knowledge, unparalleled workmanship, and excellent customer relations are second to none.

Jeff is committed in continuing to provide extremely high-quality Audio and Sound experiences for our customers.

John Green
Key Account Manager - Communications

With 25+ years’ experience in the Communications industry, John has experience in Installation, Account Management, Project Management and Tender/Estimation Management.

At Skopik, John’s primary role is a Key Account Manager – Communications Services and is also responsible for our Estimating/Tender responses.

John is a subject matter expert in all Communications Cabling Solutions, Fibre Optic and Copper Cabling, Wireless Solutions and Comms Cabinet/Rack/Room Solutions. He comes with vast experience within the Construction, Fit-out, Education and Industrial sectors.

John has extensive Comm’s vendor/product solution knowledge, leading him to have the ability to choose the best fit solution for all our customer needs.

Joseph Anstis
Key Account Manager - Security

With 15+ years’ of experience in the Security industry in both New Zealand and Australia, Joseph has expertise in Installation, Design/Consultation, Sales and Account Management.

At Skopik, Joseph’s primary role is a Key Account Manager – Security Services but remains involved in projects to ensure the solutions are installed and function as designed.

Joseph is our subject matter expert for all our Security, Access Control, Intruder and CCTV services and solutions.

Joseph is committed that post installation, our customers security solutions are serviced and maintained to the highest standard.

Whetu Konia
Key Account Manager - Electrical

With 30+ years’ of experience in the Electrical industry, Whetu is a registered Electrician with extensive background in Installation, Project Management, Design/Consultation, Account Management and Pricing/Estimation.

At Skopik, Whetu’s primary role is Key Account Manager – Electrical Services, but also remains involved in Construction and Fit-Out Project Management.

Whetu is our subject matter expert for all Commercial/Residential Power and Lighting services, UPS Solutions and Smart Lighting Solutions.

Whetu’s in-depth industry experience and focus on client relationships ensures he delivers projects that exceed the requirements of our customers.  

Office Team

SKOPIK has a dedicated office and accounts team making sure all accounts and invoices are out on time and any queries and questions are followed up quickly.

Technicians Team

SKOPIK employs a number of lead, senior and junior technicians. Each technician is carefully chosen to make sure they are an exact fit for the company and what the company stands for. Our technicians are obsessive about new tech and trends, so they’re always at the forefront of the everchanging technology industry. That’s why SKOPIK are in the top 10% of companies per capita in New Zealand when it comes to the training and upskilling of their technicians. We’re proud of our workmanship and customer service, and you’ll find that dedication in the SKOPIK technicians who work with you.

Operations Team

SKOPIK’s Operations team make sure all their customers are updated throughout their project. You’ll be kept across and finish times, how the jobs are progressing, and if our technicians are meeting SKOPIK’s high expectations. They make sure the technicians and materials are ordered and on-site when scheduled, and all as-built drawings, test results, and operation manuals are produced at the completion of the projects.
